Born in Milan in November 1957, Luca is a business leader, executive and advisor with extensive international experience. With a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Luca has successfully supported various companies as a C-Level Executive and Director in M&A and Turnaround operations, new business development, business reorganization and change management. As a Business Angel directly involved in Corporate Venturing, he has held operational and board member roles, defined business strategies and raised investor capital. In addition to his international work experience in myriad cultures, Luca is highly motivated and enthusiastic helping entrepreneurs and businesses create value in their companies for shareholders and clients.
Marcello Viti is currently CTO of Jointly, the shared Welfare. Previously, he was Innovation Manager at Vodafone Italia, promoting the development of new business environments thanks to the contact with the world of StartUp. In the past, he has held the role of Head of Mobile Services Development, VAS and e-Commerce at Omnitel. It is known for its ability to quickly identify business needs and turn them into products thanks to technologies, the use of the MVP model and the Agile approach.
Chiara is President and CEO of redooc.com, an ed-tech dedicated to STEM. She has experience as an Independent Director of listed companies and has worked in Business Performance Institute, UniCredit Group, McKinsey & Co. and Bocconi University. After graduating in Corporate Economics from Bocconi University, she earned her Research Doctorate in Corporate Economics and Master in CEMS from HEC.
Roberto Pellegrini graduated from Politecnico di Milano (1974) in Computing&Telecommunication. He worked for 40 years in ICT sector. In particular he worked in IBM (1974-1980) as System Engineer and Salesman in Milan Branch, in Amdahl (HDW Company) (1981-1991) as Salesman and Sales Director in Italian Subsidiary, in Legent (SFW Company) (1991-1995) as Managing Director for Southern Europe, in TIM (1995-2010) as Senior VP of various Business Units (Commercial and Divisions). He was also President of AVEA (2004-2005), the Turkish Subsidiary of Telecom Italia Group and he is Board Member of a lot of companies in ICT sector internationally. He was also Shareholder and Executive Board Member of Reitek (2013-2015) till its sales to Enghouse Canadian Group. Since 2014 practicing Tutorship and Mentorship for about 20 Start Ups. He is very familiar with Top of the Line activities, focusing General Management Jobs, and providing Seniority to the most challenging task within any type of ICT company.
Alberto Meda was born in 1945 in Tremezzina (Co). He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 1969. He started working for Magneti Marelli company and in 1973 he became the Technical Director of Kartell, Head of Product Development in the Lab-ware and Furniture Accessories Division. Since 1979, he has collaborated as a freelancer with numerous companies as an industrial designer. His academic contributions have taken place at Domus Academy, Bremenhaven’s Designlabor and the Polytechnic University of Milan. From 2003 to 2006, he taught a design workshop for Industrial Design Master students at the IUAV in Venice. He received the “Compasso d'Oro” in 1989, 1994 and 2008 with Lola, Metropoli, and Mix by Luceplan lamps, in 2011 with the Teak table by Alias, and in 2016 with Flap, soundproof panels by Caimi Brevetti. Honorary Royal Designer for Industry,- RSA London 2005 INDEX: award 2007 with Solar Bottle. He lives and works in Milan.
Maurizio La Cava is digital entrepreneur, marketer, Presentation design expert, blogger, public speaker, startup coach and founder at MLC Presentation Design Consulting Srl. He is author of: Lean Presentation Design, Franco Angeli, 2016. In PoliHub he supports startups in investor pitch presentation content analysis, communication optimization, data visualization and graphic design.
Chief Digital Officer in Deutsche Bank. A passion for "Clients" and for innovation. Transversal experience in different worlds: Insurance, Telecommunications, Express Shipping and Media, and finally, Banking. Among her most important experiences are a fusion, three startups and numerous Customer Service reorganizations. Thanks to all this, she has solidly developed competencies in processes and operations. The first spot, the first client … a new organization, are all extraordinary satisfactions that can provide the same level of gratification as the amount of hard work and dedication needed to achieve them. She has a degree in foreign languages, which has proved quite useful when managing complex projects with international teams, and for the ever increasing dependence on digital channels of communication with clients. She is always seeking to enrich the dynamic relationships that can be had with clients through Apps, Social Media and everything else offered by the digital world. Her attraction to the digital world is rooted in her “unique” ability to capitalize on creativity, communication and technology to build evolved service models.
CEO and Founder at Jobyourlife. Andrea De Spirt was born in Venice in 1989. While studying Philosophy at Milan’s State University, the 23-year-old came up with the idea of Jobyourlife, where he is now CEO, a new way to link employment supply and demand. In just 4 years, Jobyourlife has become the largest Italian professional network, with over 1 million platform members and more than 150,000 interviews done. Andrea is also an investor in Mosaicode, an Italian programming school, and in SweetGuest, an innovative startup to manage short term rentals.
Founder and CEO at Brandon. With a degree in Jurisprudence from Bocconi University, the 20-year-old Paola Marzario founded ItaliaCasting, a company that connects supply and demand in the fields of event planning and casting. In 2008, she sold 65% to Gruppo Best Union S.p.A., where she worked on defining content and services for corporate products sold internationally through e-commerce channels. In 2012, she founded Brandon, one of the Top 10 millionaire startups, an online distributor that assists Italian companies in e-commerce markets. Today, Paola manages a team of 17 people who average 26 years of age, 70% of whom are women. Her dream for the future is to become a Business Angel and help young people to realize their entrepreneurial projects.
Paolo Milani is Full Professor at the Department of Physics of the University of Milano. He graduated in Physics from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 1984 and he received his Docteur es Sciences (PhD) in 1991 from the Ecole Polytechnique Federale of Lausanne. He founded in 1992 the Molecular Beams and Nanocrystalline Materials Laboratory at the University of Milano. His research focuses on cluster-assembled nanostructured materials for sensors, stretchable electronics, biomedicine, soft robotics. He has published more than 250 papers on refereed journals, several review papers and a monograph on supersonic cluster beam deposition for the synthesis of nanostructured thin films. Milani is the recipient of the <em>U. Campisano Award</em> from the Italian Institute for the Physics of Matter in 2000 for his contributions to the field of the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials. In 2006 he received the <em>L. Tartufari Prize</em> awarded by the Lincei National Academy. Currently, Milani serves as Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Nanostructured Materials and Interfaces of the University of Milano, he is a member of the scientific board of the <em>Leonardo da Vinci</em> National Museum of Science and Technology, based in Milan and of the Tronchetti Provera Foundation. He is the Coordinator of the PhD School in Medical Nanotechnology supported by the European School of Molecular Medicine and the University of Milano. He has served as a nanotechnology expert consultant for the European Social and Economic Committee of the European Union. He is co-editor of the Springer book series Carbon Materials Chemistry and Physics, regional editor for Europe of the Journal of Nanoparticle Research, member of the editorial board of Advances in Physics X and of KONA Powder and Particle Journal. He holds fifteen patents in the field of nanotechnology and he is co-founder of four start-up companies: TETHIS spa active in the field of diagnostic systems for cytogenetics, WISE srl producing stretchable electronics for neuromodulation. EOS srl producing diagnostic ststems for nanoparticles in complex biological fluids and Manifattura Macchine Soffici srl working of polymeric materials for lighting and interior design.
He graduated in Engineering with a specialization in Aeronautics from the Polytechnic University of Turin. He is Managing Director of BAN-UP SpA and President of Associazione IBAN. His early experience as an international manager was in the air transport sector and in airplane fixed and rotating wing maintenance. For over 20 years, he has worked in the field of risk capital: managing regional “venture capital” funds for community planning; Project manager of European projects focused on “equity cross border” investments, creating networks of Business Angels and “investment readiness”programs. He is a business coach (EASME H2020 SME Instrument) and instructor of entrepreneurship and business planning. He is a Boardmember of public and private organizations and listed companies.
Paolo Locatelli graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in computer engineering and attended executive courses in eBusiness Management at MIP. He has been managing digital healthcare innovation projects since 2000 in applied research contexts and implementation of innovative solutions at healthcare and regional facilities, first at Politecnico Innovazione and later at the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano. He is responsible for the Digital Health Innovation Observatory at the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano, following the phenomena of eHealth innovation also with the mentor activity for PoliHub.
Luca Apriletti, degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan, MBA in London and PHD in Pavia, has an experience of more than 20 years both working in large multinational and as entrepreneur. In his managerial career in marketing and sales, he has specialized on processes of retail and consumer products companies. As entrepreneur, he has worked in the fashion industry, as brand owner and producer as well as start upper in the field of innovation services to fashion companies
Avv. Cristina Crupi – Born in 1979, Cristina earned a law degree from the University of Milan in 2003 and founded her own firm, Studio Legale Crupi & Associati, with a focus on startup law. In 2011 she was appointed member of the board of Fondazione Politecnico by the Ministry of Education; she contributed to the formation of PoliHub startup incubator. StartUp Pulse, a startup law focused department of the firm, assists and provides legal advice to companies operating in the technology and innovation sectors. It relies on highly qualified professionals combining different skills to help businesses grow. Studio Legale Crupi & Associati offers clients support through a network of legal partners located in Europe and in the United States of America. Cristina wrote many articles on legal topics for the business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore and wrote “Start Up – How to form, manage and develop innovative companies”, published by the same editor.
Filippo Zanetti boasts thirty years of experience in IBM as Supply Chain Executive. He has been a member of board of directors of Geodis Logistics (SNCF Group). Now Filippo is founder and CEO of "Value for People", which is an E.Commerce, Supply Chain and Innovation Consulting Company. He is also an active Business Angel, IBAN member, Ban-up member and Startup Mentor of Startups that are managed by major national incubators and accelerators.
He is co-founder, advisor and partner of several startups and consulting firms for innovation, strategies, internationalization and environment. He has followed the growth of several startups and innovation projects BtoC, Peer to Peer and BtoB with a focus in various areas including sharing economy, environment, industrial production, services and internationalization. Since 2016, he has been part of the International Technology Transfer Committee (ITTN), State Company of the People's Republic of China and NorthZone.it, which is specialized in innovation in sports. He was Procurator, Product and Project Manager for the Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems. He has developed the growth of the Italian and foreign market for TEI spa, the first environmental consulting company in Italy.
Dario Caleffi has over 25 years’ experience as an international senior executive in a variety of industries, such as Pharma, Chemicals, Tabacco, CPG and TLC, in the ICT, PRJ MGMT, Business Planning, Controlling, Operations & Supply Chain sectors. Today he provides Management Mentoring. Since 2007, he has been a Business Angel, involved in managerial and networking activities. He is the Managing Director of BAN-up, co-founder and partner at Go Beyond Investing and CEO of Insun.
Enrico Resmini has been President of Fondazione Vodafone Italia and Director of Vodafone Italy's Ultrabroadband, Wholesale and Strategy since September 2014. He aims to lead company transformation projects, revolutionize ultra broad band and the wholesale offer, while defining medium and long term strategies for the company in Italy. Joining Vodafone in 2012, Resmini was Residential Director, responsible for Vodafone’s family groundline telephone service in Italy. He has many years of experience in strategic consulting. Since 1995 in McKinsey & Company Italy, in 2005 he became Partner, leading important projects in the Telecommunications and Media sectors. With a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, he has a Master in Business Administration from Insead di Fontainebleau. Enrico Resmini was born in Oakland (USA) in 1968. He's married and has three children.
